Excellent Service The Practice Southend and Southend Hospital
by greenwaysdaisy, almost 2 years agoAn example of how things should work! Partner attended GP for second time with recurrent awful cough, despite 2 courses of antibiotics (note that no problem with getting on the day appointments either). GP was seen on time at 10.10am yesterday and was advised to get a chest x-ray. Form was given and he went to Southend Hospital arriving at 10.50. He had the x-ray and was back home by 11.30. No waiting and no unnecessary worry. Thank You!

Arfid - being passed pillar to post!
by Arfidmum, almost 2 years agoIn 2022 I moved from Basildon to Benfleet which resulted in my sons discharge from care within Basildon. He was never transferred which resulted in my battle for help. After 2 years I am still no further forward in regards to finding my son help with ARFID- avoidant restrictive food intake disorder) which as you can imagine is now taking a huge toll on my mental health. We had been referred to a London hospital who have refused on the basis we try local care, which doesn't exsist.I am on a mission to raise awareness about the eating disorder... Continue reading

We had been referred to a London hospital who have refused on the basis we try local care, which doesn't exsist.I am on a mission to raise awareness about the eating disorder in the hopes the NHS will action and change what is needed for our children. I have been on ITV, local papers, radio and will not stop! I am making a stand for our children who shouldn't be left with no support or treatment.
The duty of care is non existent and unacceptable. Every child deserves a future and the NHS are starving him of one.

As a senior clinician the service I have recieved is nothing but appauling brinking on a safeguarding in all departments ..how can system one not talk to another NHS hospital within the same traust , and how can failures be so widespread ...
